Silver Nanoparticles’ Biosynthesis and Characterization with the Extract of Jatropha curcas Leaf: Analysis of Corrosion Inhibition Activity

The plant-mediated nanoparticles synthesis process is gaining popularity because of its effective cost, eco-friendliness, and nontoxic nature. current study presents the silver (AgNPs) which synthesized with AgNO3 as precursor salt Jatropha curcas leaf extract. J. extract has phytochemicals that could reduce metal to act a capping agent surround enhance stability. Phytochemical screening on showed alkaloids, saponins, tannins, flavanoids, steroids, philobatannins, phenols, cardiac glycosides are contained in sample. biosynthesized were investigated by UV-visible (UV-vis) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). UV-vis confirmed fabrication AgNPs at 250–400 nm. solutions’ change color from pale yellow reddish brown indicated formed. XRD analysis revealed average crystal size was 36.4 FTIR organic residues covered nanoparticles. inhibitory properties solution bulk evaluated using medium carbon steel.
